In topic lessons this week, the children focused on the book ‘My Hair’. A great book that celebrates Afro hair and its glorious versatility. The outdoor area was turned into a ‘Hairdressers’ and the children thoroughly enjoyed learning about iconic black hairstyles such as: Bantu Knots, Cornrows, Dreadlocks and Afro hair. They created hairstyles of their own using a range of materials.
